With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Adelino Davide Baldin, a gifted writer, dedicated video editor, and passionate storyteller who touched the lives of many with his words, creativity, and outgoing personality. His presence was a light to those around him, and his talent and dedication left an indelible mark with everyone that he was close to.

Davide worked as a video editor for KCTV5 since 1997, where his sharp video editing skills, insightful storytelling, and unwavering commitment to the craft helped shape the work of countless reporters, producers, and directors. He had an innate ability to refine and elevate stories, ensuring that each piece resonated with depth and authenticity.

Beyond his professional contributions his passion for writing was evident in every word he penned—words that carried emotion, meaning, and a deep connection to the world around him. Davide was a multifaceted artist with a love for photography, videography, and filmmaking. He wrote and produced several short films, not for fame or recognition, but for the sheer joy of creative expression. His talent even extended to the stage, where he was featured in a local production of The Paranormal—a testament to his willingness to embrace different forms of artistry with enthusiasm and courage.

A true lover of music, Davide found inspiration in melodies that spoke to the soul. His works often carried the rhythm and emotion of the songs he held dear. He was also a great admirer of community traditions, particularly the annual barbecue events that brought people together. Never one to simply be a bystander, he took great pleasure in broadcasting these events on his internet channel, sharing the joy and culture of the gatherings with a wider audience.

Before immersing himself in the literary and artistic world, Davide served his country in the Air Force. His time in service was a defining chapter of his life—one that instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and commitment to others. These qualities shone through in every aspect of his life, from his professional work to his personal relationships.

Above all, Davide was the ultimate people person. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others made him a beloved presence in any gathering. He treasured time spent with friends and family, always bringing laughter and heartfelt conversation wherever he went. His kindness and wisdom touched the lives of many, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.

Davide is survived by seven brothers, three sisters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who will continue to honor his memory. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the stories he told, the art he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared.

A celebration of Davide's life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Derrick Thomas / Neil Smith Third and Long Foundation , an organization that was especially close to his heart. This gesture honors his deep love for storytelling and reading, passions that brought him joy and shaped the way he connected with the world.
