Alfred R. Hoedl, 91, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, after a long and vigorous life. The Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. followed by visitation at 10:15 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, at Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93

St., Overland Park, KS 66212. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
Alfred was born November 5, 1925, in Kansas City, MO, and was a graduate of DeLaSalle Academy and The University of Missouri. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII, and was an owner of BDR Engineering Corp. for 42 years. He was a founding member of Holy Cross Parish and was active with The Serra Club of Kansas City in Kansas. Alfred was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Hite; and his siblings, Helen Hoedl, Frances Hoedl-Anderson, Lawrence Hoedl, Vincent Hoedl, Theodore Hoedl, Dolores Hoedl-Zirfas, Angela Hoedl, and Leonard Hoedl.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Roseann (Ryan) Hoedl; his children, Andrew J. Hoedl and wife Rhonda, Gregory J. Hoedl, Denise Spangler and husband Leland J.; grandchildren, Amelia, Kalan, Esthergrace, Leland, and Ava; and many nieces and nephews.
Alfred was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
