Alfred R. Hoedl, 91, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, after a long and vigorous life. The Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. followed by visitation at 10:15 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, at Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93 ^rd St., Overland Park, KS 66212. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.

Alfred was born November 5, 1925, in Kansas City, MO, and was a graduate of DeLaSalle Academy and The University of Missouri. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII, and was an owner of BDR Engineering Corp. for 42 years. He was a founding member of Holy Cross Parish and was active with The Serra Club of Kansas City in Kansas. Alfred was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Hite; and his siblings, Helen Hoedl, Frances Hoedl-Anderson, Lawrence Hoedl, Vincent Hoedl, Theodore Hoedl, Dolores Hoedl-Zirfas, Angela Hoedl, and Leonard Hoedl.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Roseann (Ryan) Hoedl; his children, Andrew J. Hoedl and wife Rhonda, Gregory J. Hoedl, Denise Spangler and husband Leland J.; grandchildren, Amelia, Kalan, Esthergrace, Leland, and Ava; and many nieces and nephews.

Alfred was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
