Angela Marie Nigro, self-described "tall old lady in the hat", age 79, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on November 3, 2017. The Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. followed by Visitation from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 10, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will be at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Harvesters or Wayside Waifs .

Angela was the daughter of immigrants and was proud of her Sicilian heritage.  She grew up in the "North End" and lived there all her life.  She married Mike Nigro in 1973 and together they operated a fast food distribution business.  Later in life, she sold cars for Olathe Lincoln Mercury and worked with her close friends at Anthony's Restaurant.  She had three daughters who were her constant focus and loved spending her spare time with her grandchildren.  Angie will forever be known for her hats, sense of style, unique and exuberant personality, and heart as big as her hat.  She never met a stranger and could always be counted on to "tell it like it is".

Angie is survived by her daughters, Mimi Lipari (Jim), Angela Sleyster (Wren), and Julia Nigro (Ben Ellis); and her grandchildren, Mike Lipari, Alex and Julia Lipari, Mickelle and Lena Sleyster, Lance Nigro; and brothers-in-law, Vic Nigro (Grace), and Tom Nigro (Carm). She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Domenica Corsentino; her husband, Mike Nigro; granddaughter, Delylah Angel Nigro; and many brothers and sisters in the Corsentino and Nigro families.
