Angelo Giaconia, 67, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. The Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. followed by Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 15, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119, followed by entombment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Angelo was born May 1, 1950, in Castlebuono, Sicily. He was a very giving person and loved to buy coffee for customers at Starbucks. He enjoyed walking three miles a day with his walking buddies and loved fast cars, big houses, cruising, good food and dancing.

Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale and Anna (Corradino) Giaconia; and Dr. Matteo Cangelosi. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Phyllis (Donze) Giaconia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pietro Mario and Paola Giaconia, Vincenzo and Antonietta Giaconia, Giovanni and Anna Giaconia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Giuseppina and Vincenzo Maranto, Rosaria and Gino Galvano, Marianna and Domenico Pantano, Natalia and Franco Collesano; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Jimmy Lopez, Sal and Judy Donze; and many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
