Ann Marie Morreale, 94, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Ann was born June 6, 1922, in Kansas City, MO, to Anthony and Angelina (Brancato) Genova. She retired from Montgomery Ward after 18 years, where she was consistently a top salesperson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Anthony Morreale, in 2001; and her son-in-law, Thomas J. Murphy, in 2013.

Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Patricia Morreale; her daughter Cynthia Ann Murphy; grandchildren, Anthony Morreale, Anna Marie and Jim Conley; great-grandchildren, Ashley Bowles, Jeremy and Felicia Bowles, Cody and Jack Conley; great-great-grandchildren, Jayden and Grayson; sister, Patricia Montalte; brother, John Genova; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
