Anna Marie Failoni, age 82, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at her home in Kansas City, MO. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4 at St. Patrick Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, June 3 beginning at 4:00 p.m. with the Rosary, and ending at 8:00 p.m. Please no flowers. Anna Marie was born July 11, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, to Anthony and Mary Trantanella. She married Leo J. Failoni on November 28, 1953 and moved shortly thereafter to Kansas City, MO. Nearly 40 years ago, she started Leo's Pizza with her husband and worked by his side making the magic happen. The meatballs and salad dressings were original recipes made with love every week by Anna Marie. Generations of customers have known her kindness and generosity. She was a long-time member of St. Patrick Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Anna Marie is survived by her two children, daughter Rosanne (Ron) Willcott and her son, Joseph Failoni; seven grandchildren, Anthony Accurso, Leo (Ashley) Accurso, Louis Accurso, Annamarie (Aaron) Leeper, Leo Failoni, Alex Failoni and Tyler Pastena; a great-grandson Tyler and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Jane; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alex and Rosemary Failoni, and Anna Rita Failoni, all of St. Louis; numerous nieces and nephews and her "sister" Tillie Bengimina.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

We will miss her on earth but take comfort in knowing she and Leo are happy, together again.
