Anthony Frank (Cacioppo) Cappo, age 84, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Anthony was born and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, he is proceeded in death by his parents Frank and Margaret (Messina) Cacioppo.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Marita (Grisafe) Cappo and their three children, Margo (Al) Christofano, Frank (Kris) Cappo, Bonnie (JW Peloquin) Cappo. He also leaves behind five grandchildren Antoinette Christofano, Simon Christofano, Anthony Christofano, Marissa Cappo, and Ross Cappo. They were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou and husband, Bill Ryan, brother-in law Joe Ross. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Anthony attended Karnes School and Manual High School.  Following high school, he worked as a cabinet maker where he learned to become quite the wood worker and handy man and to all that knew him knew he could fix anything.  He later served in the Air Force where he gained his love of cooking. He then went on to become a printer and owned his own pizza restaurant. The majority of his career was spent in hotel and restaurant management.

Not only did he love his family and cooking, he also loved Amazon shopping, Blue Bloods, and Hardcore Italians merchandise. Anthony's lifelong friendship with Jay Scardino, literally began at birth as they were born one day apart at St. Joseph Hospital. As teenagers and into their 80's, Anthony enjoyed hunting with his good friend Joe Mike Cicio.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 14251 Nall Avenue, Leawood, KS 66224.  There will be no visitation services and burial will be immediate family members only due to Covid-19 restrictions.  The casket will remain closed.
