Anthony Dennis Cipolla, 79, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at home on November 18, 2018, following a long struggle with congestive heart failure. Visitation will be 9 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Pius X High School in Kansas City, MO.
Tony was born in May 21, 1939 in Kansas City, MO, to Gus and Nellie Cipolla. He attended Assumption grade school and graduated from De la Salle High School in 1957. He briefly attended junior college and then went to work in the construction trade. In 1962 he married Elvira "Pinky" DiGiovanni and they had two children, Toni Denise and Augustino. He began working in the printing trade where he stayed until his retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, coach and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Nellie Cipolla; his sister, Rosalyn; and his brother, Frank. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pinky; daughter Toni Cipolla Lundak (Bruce); son Augustino Cipolla; and grandchildren Pete, Anthony, Marlo and Natalie.
