Anthony Pace, age 93, passed away at home with his family by his side on Sunday, December 13, 2020, after a fearless battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Anthony was born on July 2, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lucille and Lawrence Pace. He married the girl next door, Josephine Balano, on April 13, 1955. Together, they raised two sons.

Anthony graduated from Northeast High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He began working in the Air Cargo Accounting Group for Trans World Airlines in 1947. While working at TWA, he attended Rockhurst University and earned an Associate in Business Administration degree in 1960. He was a proud member of UNICO, an Italian American service organization. Their mantra was Service Above Self which Anthony personified all his life. He was a Knight of Columbus and 60-year member of the American Legion. After 24 years with TWA, he started his own convenience store business, Park Parade Stop-n-Shop, in 1970. Both sons joined Anthony at the store and worked side-by-side with their dad through 2016.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Josephine; son Larry and wife Debbie of Independence, MO; son Ross and wife Mika of Independence, MO; grandson Anthony and his fiancée Laureen Bousmail of Denver, CO; granddaughter Josephine and her husband Chris Glick of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandson Michael; sister Mary Saxe of Fort Atkinson, WI; sister-in-law Mary Louise Balano; nephew Phillip Balano; niece Savina and Bob Lee; nephew Michael and Jeanine Balano, all of Kansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Pallbearers: Anthony Pace, Phillip Balano, Michael Balano, Bob Lee, Pete Catalano, and Chris Glick.

Due to the pandemic, a private service was held with entombment at Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Raytown, MO.
