Anthony Louis "Tony" Orlando passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Tony was born on October 6, 1927, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Lillis High School in 1945 and later served in the Korean War. After the war, he returned to Kansas City where he began working in sales. Tony excelled in the sales industry. He later became vice-president of the Consumer Money Order Company. He also worked for Major Cadillac, Brinks Home Security, and TruGreen / ChemLawn. Tony eventually retired at the age of 88. Tony had many friends from all parts of his life. He loved sports and was a loyal fan. However, his greatest love was his family and was consistently involved in their activities.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents Florence and Louis Orlando; and his wife Shirley Ann Orlando. He is survived by his son, Dr. Louis Orlando (Mary); his daughter, Cindy Moulder (Stan); and three grandchildren: Ann Marie and Anthony Orlando, and Anthony Zugaj.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Independence, MO. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, at St. Mark's Church, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Gentiva Hospice .
