Antoinette "Toni" LaBruzzo passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.

Antoinette was born February 14, 1932, in the North End area of Kansas City, MO.

Services for Toni will be held, Thursday, January 22 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Independence, MO. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to Ascend Hospice – 783 N.E. Anderson Lane, Lee's Summit, MO 64061

Toni leaves behind her four children, Vito LaBruzzo (Karen), Rosann Northington (Bob), Joe Vincent and Paul; three grandsons, seven granddaughters and five great-grandkids; along with sister-law Louise Spalitto; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband Joe LaBruzzo; her parents Vincenzo and Andreana Sola; mother-law and father-law Rose and Vito LaBruzzo; and her nine siblings.

We celebrate our Mom and will remember her full beautiful life. The never-ending stories she told of her childhood/neighborhood and family traditions, not only with us but with everyone she met. She was so proud of her Italian heritage ("Her good Mediterranean genes"). Her religious devotion was like no other. She was known by many in the Arabian horse world - the horse show Mom known as "Mama LaBruzzo". But most of all she was "OUR Mom, Nani and Nonna".

She found "Bocce" - her love of the game, the fun and the competitive player that she was, bringing laughter and love to everyone around her.

Pallbearers are TJ Herndon, Vito Michael LaBruzzo, Vito Barbieri, John Barbieri, Pete Spalitto, and Anthony Spalitto.
