Antoinette Marie
Mangiaracina
Mar 22, 1932 — Sep 8, 2022
Antoinette Marie (Sola) Mangiaracina, 90, Kansas City, Mo., passed away on September 8, 2022, after a short illness. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Ann was born March 22, 1932, to George and Jennie Sola. Ann was an avid sports fan. She loved watching the Royals, Chiefs, Tennis and Golf.
She was born and raised in The North End and had been living at Columbus Park Plaza for the past ten years. A few days after moving, she said she felt like a teenager with her first apartment. She was very happy to find out that a couple of her grade school friends lived in the same building. Ann didn't like to cook but she did enjoy watching all the cooking shows that were on TV.
She loved and was very proud of her grandchildren, Nicholas and Nicole, both nurses, and Jason, owner of Blackhole Bakery and great-grandson Jordan.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, and her beloved daughter, Jeanene, brothers-in-law, Tom Ruffolo, Anthony Amaro and Notzie and Vita Rotolo.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Salvatore and Annett, George and Michelle and son-in-law Paul Bruscato. Sisters and brothers Jean Ruffolo, Lucille Amaro, Minnie (Jay) Scardino, George (Rama) Sola, and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Ann's close and dear friend Pearl Cervello.
Ann was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers: George, Joe and John Sola, Michael Amaro, Joe and Don Scardino, Michael and Taylor Moore.
