Antoinette Strada
Quarrato
Jul 22, 1942 — Apr 29, 2024
Antoinette Strada Quarrato, 81, passed away April 29, 2024.
Antoinette was born July 22, 1942, in Kansas City MO to the late Matthew Maggio and Antoinette "Lena" Clementi. She graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School and attended Northeast High School. In her younger years, she spent many happy years with her friends at Don Bosco where she met her first husband Ross Strada. Together they owned and operated the Villa Capri restaurant until her husband's untimely death. Antoinette continued the legacy of running the Villa with her son Ross Jr. and the support of dear friends and family for several years following. She ultimately retired from her career with Contractor's Supply where she was in accounts administration for many years.
Antoinette was a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society, the parish council, and a highly active member in the annual preparations of the Holy Rosary St. Joseph Table. She was also an honorary member of the Daughters of Columbus. Antionette re-connected with her lifelong friend Michael Quarrato and the two married in December of 2010. She was a truly devoted and loving mother and nani as displayed through cooking countless legendary feasts on Sundays, holidays, and celebratory family dinners.
Antoinette was preceded in death by her mother and father; husbands Ross Strada and Michael Quarrato; granddaughter Antonina Michelle Strada; her aunt and uncle Annie (Clementi) and Joseph Forte; uncle Salvatore "Tutti" Clementi; brother-in-law Joseph Nastasio; and sister and brother-in-law Rosemary and Sal Cilia. She is survived by her daughter Gina Marie and Joe Phil Mandacina; her son Ross Strada and Mary Cuezze; her daughter Carla and Phillip Triano; her grandchildren, who she adored and who lovingly called her "Nani": Ross Joseph Strada, Anthony Ross and Mia Gabrielle Triano; and sister Jo Ann Nastasio. Antoinette is also survived by Michael's children Carl Michael and Sara Quarrato, Jennifer and Jefferson Davis, Kathleen and Jeffrey Wessinger; and grandchildren Carleigh, Jennie and Michael Quarrato, Charlie, Joseph and Quincy Davis, and Josie, Ava and Lyla Wessinger. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Jacqueline Filardo and Gerry Quarrato; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
