Antonina Rosa DiMaggio, 81, Gladstone, MO, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, January 13, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Family and friends will gather on Monday, January 14, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin 9 a.m. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Nina was born January 17, 1931 in Camporeale, Sicily to Vincenzo and Fillipa (Orlando) Donze. She worked as a seamstress at Youthcraft and DuValls. She showed her devotion to St. Joseph by having a St. Joseph's Table in her home for many years benefiting La Voce Dell Orfano. Nina was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Fina Donze and Angelo Donze.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Frank DiMaggio; her children, Margaret Ibarra and husband Joe, Anthony DiMaggio and wife Theresa, Phyllis Cangelosi and husband Steve; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Salvatore Donze, Sara Cascone (Salvatore), Paul Donze, Vince Donze (Franca), Sandra Caravella (Anthony); sister-in-law, Matilda Donze; brother-in-law, Joe DiMaggio (Pat); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
