Antonino Pollina, 80, passed away October 5, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. The Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. followed by Visitation from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, at the Church, followed by entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum, Kansas City North.

Antonino was born November 24, 1937, in Alcamo, Sicily, and came to the United States in 1967. He married Carmela in 1968 in Watertown, NY, and they moved to Kansas City to start their life together. He worked for Rodeo Packing House, Robinson Potato Factory, and later retired from Yellow Freight.  Even after retirement he loved doing remodeling work for family and friends. Antonino was an honest, hardworking and loving person who enjoyed having his family around him – especially his grandchildren.

Antonino was preceded in death by his parents, Giusseppe and Giovanna Pollina; his brother Frank; and his sister Concetta. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carmela Pollina; his sons, Joe and wife Cherie, Louis and wife Laura; his grandchildren, Anthony, Francesca, Carmela, Antonino, and Rafael; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rina and Rocco Versace; nephew, Joe; nieces, Joann, Rosie, Concetta, Nina, and Maria Rosa; cousins, Rose, Nina, Jo Ann, and Esther; and many friends.

Pallbearers: Paul Anselmo, Joe Pollina, Joe Maenza, Phil Brancato, Nunzio Spinelli, Michael Crawford, Curtis Kleoppel, and Pat Caime.
