Obituary

Ashley Lynn Sacco Picard, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on September 5, 1984, Ashley brought light, laughter, and compassion into the lives of all who knew her.

Ashley is survived by her devoted husband, Brad Picard, with whom she shared twelve years of love and partnership, having married on May 25, 2013. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising three cherished children: Gabriella, Boston, and Bruno. Being a mother was Ashley's greatest joy, and she embraced the role with unmatched love, energy, and grace. To her own children and to so many others, she was a nurturing soul—children were just naturally drawn to and adored her.

She is also survived by her loving parents Kathy Pecha and Joe & Lynda Sacco; her in-laws Craig & Becky Picard; her treasured grandmother Mary Pat Sacco; and her siblings: Billy Connely (Erin), Joey Sacco III (Sarah), Annamarie Bender (Parker), Tony Mike Sacco, and Sammy Joe Sacco (Victoria). Her spirit lives on in her nieces and nephews—Carl, Sam, Joey IV, Bentley, Brecken, Laykin, Easton, Maclin, Sammy, Santino, and baby girl—who brought her so much joy.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe Sacco Sr. and Anthony & Clara Bruno; and cousin Anthony Bruno.

Ashley earned a master's degree in social work, dedicating her professional life to helping others. Her heart for service was evident in all she did, both inside and outside of her career. She had an infectious laugh, a magnetic warmth, and an ability to make everyone feel seen and loved.

To know Ashley was to know kindness, compassion, and genuine love. Her presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply felt by all whose lives she touched. In her passing she continued her selflessness and was an organ donor. She signed up at the age of 25, and at 40 she helped save the lives of several people.

Let us honor Ashley by embracing her life lesson: Be a good human and spend time with the ones you love.
