Barbara Ann Nuccio, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, at the age of 89.

Barbara was born September 25, 1934, to Neil and Anna (Latta) Fredrick, growing up on Kansas City's East Side and graduating from East High School.

She met and fell in love with Salvatore J. Nuccio, and they were married April 23, 1955.  Barbara and Sal enjoyed travelling to Nebraska for college football games and the horse races, going to the movies, and spending time on the farm with family and friends. Barbara and Sal were married for 35 years before his passing in 1991. After Sal's death Barbara took pleasure in spending time with friends, line dancing, playing cards, and numerous activities. She also took delight in going to the casino with her friend and daughters and relished teaching her grandchildren many things such as jump rope, coloring, and games. One of the grandchildren's favorite activities with "Mo" was playing shoe store. In her later years she looked forward to going to Bingo with her son and daughter-in-law and dining out Saturday nights with her daughter and son-in-law after attending Mass.

Barbara's greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved preparing big Sunday and holiday meals. She faithfully attended her grandchildren's sporting and dance events, even performing with her granddaughters in recitals.

She was a very talented seamstress and sewed part-time for TG&Y, making pattern samples. For many years Barbara would sew each granddaughter an Easter and Christmas dress. She was always on the go but would drop everything to do anything for her family and friends. We are not sure how she managed her active lifestyle while working full time for the Internal Revenue Service.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Sal J. Nuccio in 1991, her parents, brother John W. Fredrick, son-in-law Michael Blackwell, and her beloved life-long friend Lee Parrish.

Barbara is survived by her children Kellie (Don) McGee, and Anna (Rodney) Tebbe, Christine Blackwell, Salvatore R. (Donna) Nuccio, nine grandchildren: Lori Georgeulakos, Lisa Fierst, Ryan (Kayla) McGee, Nicholas Tebbe, Jonathan Tebbe, Angel (Nathan) Hughes, Amanda (Austin) Maturino, Abigail (Kevin) Carey, and Salvatore A. Nuccio, along with 10 great grandchildren, sister Loretta (Dennis) Putinski, and also her very dear friends Mary-Lynn Tolle and Barbara Giacomo.

Barbara will be missed by all who loved her.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee's Summit, MO. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. followed by Visitation at 9:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The pallbearers for Barbara will be Nicholas Tebbe, Ryan McGee, Jonathan Tebbe, Kevin Carey, Salvatore A. Nuccio, and James Fierst. Honorary Pallbearer: Nate Giacomo.
