Obituary

Beatrice J. LaSala, 84, Kansas City MO, passed away March 25, 2020. Funeral Services are private with burial at Calvary Cemetery.

Beatrice began her amazing life's journey on August 8, 1935 in Kansas City, MO to Filippo and Herlinda Pernice. Her passion in life was her family and her faith. She married the love of her life Carl S. LaSala on June 29, 1960 and spoke of him every day to the last. Some of her greatest joys in life came from preparing meals for her family and attending the many immense family reunions and "get-togethers". She would proudly speak about the family tree being so big and point out that if it had not been for strong roots of faith the tree would not have grown as large. She enjoyed family campouts and loved dancing and always had the ability to make everyone in the room feel comfortable and loved. She was an accomplished seamstress and worked for Betty Lee Fashions of Riverside, MO.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl LaSala; her brothers Sam, Phil, Rudy, Tom, Manuel, and Jesse Pernice; sisters Virginia Andrews, Clara Bruno, Linda Belgiere, Valentina and Rosie Pernice; brother-in-law Dick Mueller; sister-in-law Carol LaSala; and her grandchild Carl Vito LaSala.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Sam and Lily LaSala; her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Ross Piraino; her grandchildren Leo and Carla LaSala, Sophia, Beatrice, and Carl Piraino, Vincent and Elizabeth Piraino; great-grandson Rosario Piraino; sisters-in-law Marty Pernice, Nancy Pernice, Rosetta Pernice, and Marie Mueler; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Delia LaSala, and Phil LaSala; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Oxford Grand Assisted Living Community and Kansas City Hospice for the loving and truly exceptional care given to Beatrice.
