Obituary

Belva Clydene Newton passed away quietly on Monday, June 22, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Newton, her brother and sister Hershel and Clarene Burch, granddaughter Jenny, and her son Roger Newton. She is survived by her brothers RJ and Hubert Burch, daughters Carolyn and Marilyn, her son Terry (Brenda), her grandchildren Aimee, Tina, Nina, Tia, Lisa and Jason (Pam), and her great-grandchildren Travis, Hayden, Evan, and Hannah.

Belva was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas nearly a century ago. She loved gardening, her fluffy little dogs, watching golf and the horse races. She often spoke of her mother, who made the best homemade pie you've ever had, and her father who was a farmer. She lived through polio, World War II, a son serving in Vietnam, four wild children, and a loving marriage with Earl. She was ready to join him in the next world, and lived a long and happy life. She will be missed.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
