Betty Sue Cavallaro, 85, passed away on July 29, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1940, in Michigan City, Indiana.

Sue was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Carl Anthony Cavallaro. Their marriage was a true love story, marked by unwavering devotion and a bond that endured beyond this life. After 13 years apart, her family finds comfort in believing Carl was waiting to welcome his beloved home. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Margaret Rickey, and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Lucille Cavallaro.

Sue's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She had a generous heart and would do anything for anyone. Her kindness, compassion, and selfless spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Susan Henderson (Archie); her son, Rick Cavallaro (Mindy); and her daughter, Carla Lynn (Jerry). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Toni Helton, Sami Undercuffler, Cody Johnson, Kady Johnson and Piper Moore, as well as many beloved great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy; and her sister Linda Speer.

Sue leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, strength, generosity, and devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, kindness, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Sue and Carl are together once again, reunited after 13 years apart—a love story that continues beyond this life.

A Celebration of Sue's Life will be held at Crown Pointe Church, 5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lee's Summit, MO 64064, on August 13th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of a remarkable woman whose love and kindness will never be forgotten.
