Elizabeth "Betty" Barelli LaCapra, 90, passed away November 19, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Betty was born May 24, 1932, in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip J. LaCapra , and her parents Pasquale Barelli and Lilly (Arcuri) Barelli. Betty attended Northeast High School. She retired from the Jones Store Company after 27 plus years of service. She had a special group of friends, called the Fab 5 (Marie Messina, Florene Arnone, Rosetta Pernice, Rosalie Pisciotta, and Betty Lou) and these ladies loved their luncheons. Betty loved to cook, bake, and have traditional Sunday dinners at her home surrounded by family, she was an avid reader, also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, and looked forward to her many weekly TV programs.

Betty is survived by her children, Michael (Roxanne), Concetta, Pat (Rose Marie); her grandchildren, Maria Charles (Andy), Phillip, and Elizabeth LaCapra; brother John Barelli (Angel); cousins Joan Sorrentino, Frank (Mona) Mange, Jo Ann Collett, Jackie (Sam) Paul, Anthony Mange, Jr.; and good friends Margaret Malaponte and Betty Vigliaturo.

The family would like to acknowledge Linden Woods Village Long-term Care facility for the outstanding care they provided to her while she resided there, especially CeVe, Amanda, Amber, Bridget, Kristi, Taylor, Dixie, Stacy, Leslie, Kaela, Angela, Brittany, Kelsey, Remi, Aubury, Shandle, Isis, Etson, Elureen, Byard and others; and NorthCare Hospice House for the care and compassion they showed Betty in her last few days of her life.

Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
