Betty Marie Sweeney, 91, who lived in the Historic Northeast area of Kansas City, passed away in her sleep on October 21, 2018 at her home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 25, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Burial will be at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Holy Cross Parish Hall.

Betty was born in Kansas City, MO on July 12, 1927. She did many things but her most recent and the one she loved the most was teaching children at Assumption. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Toddy", Sweeney, who was a WWII veteran. She is survived by her brother, Carl Ramsey; her three sons, Pat, Greg and John; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She kept her million-dollar smile until the very end! She will be missed!
