Bonnie June Hayes, 94, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at her home on August 26, 2026.

Bonnie was born May 23,1932, in Lupus, Missouri to the late Harry N. and Cora Mae (Martin) Childress.  She attended a one room schoolhouse in Lupus.  She was married to Richard Lee Hayes, who preceded her in death in 1989. Bonnie worked at the shoe factory in Boonville for years, and at several other manufacturing plants before she retired from CRS Plastics in Kansas City, Missouri.

Bonnie made the world a better place and will be missed by her many friends and family members.

Along with her husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters Kathryn Rose Schulze, Ethel Osborn, and Hazel Lampton; her brothers Harvey, Harold, Marvin and Kenneth Childress; her son Kenneth Hayes; and her daughter Tina June Hayes.  She is survived by her daughter Diane McKee; and her sons Douglas and Steven Hayes; along with many grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons and great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO. Graveside Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, at Bethel Cemetery near Jamestown, MO.
