Bonnie (Scarcello) Lalumia, 81, of Raytown, MO, passed away March 26, 2012 surrounded by her family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 9020 E. 51st St., Kansas City, MO 64133. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at St. Bernadette Church, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's research. Bonnie was born June 30, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to John and Rose (Donnici) Scarcello. She was a member of St. Bernadette Parish and the St. Joseph Society, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4962 Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from Rosewin Coats. Bonnie enjoyed cooking, baking and playing cards. She was always available in times of need.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 63 years, Joseph Lalumia, on December 7, 2011.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Patty Lalumia; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Tuccillo, Chris and Buddy Bleyenberg; grandchildren and spouses, Angela and John Cook, Lori and Joe Janacaro, Joe Mike Lalumia, Lisa and Justin Schuster, Frank and Alison Lalumia, Anna and Shaun McGraw, Maria Lalumia, and John Bleyenberg; ten great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Florence Aulgur, JoAnn Gigliotti, Judy and Dave Theoni; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty and Ben Anch, Rosalie and Ben Oxley, Anthony and Sandy Lalumia, Vince Gulotta, Charlie DiMarco, Nancy Lalumia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the excellent caregivers at Westridge Gardens and Dr. Keith Jantz for the exceptional care she received over the years.
Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
