Bret Matthew Ramsey, age 44, passed away at his home in Prairie Village, KS on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his two sons, Austin Ramsey and Blake Ramsey. Bret is also mourned by his father Robert Ramsey, mother Marsha Ramsey, older brother Brian Ramsey, and loving fiancée Mackenzie Quinn Dolinski.

Bret was known for his warmth and compassion as a friend, brother, son and father. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, had a passion for cooking and often talked about attending cooking school to become a chef. Bret enjoyed listening to music, playing games with Mackenzie and close friends, Bret loved his KC Chiefs and Royals. He was also a big MU Tigers fan to the extent he would always give Mackenzie a hard time about being a Jayhawks fan and would cheer for the tigers during KU games. He held a particular fondness for sports cars and borrowing his brother's clothes and cologne. Bret loved spending time with his dad hanging out watching sports on TV.

One of Bret's cherished memories from his childhood was dancing around the living room with his mother while watching the movie "Fiddler on the Roof." Despite facing challenges from a young age, Bret's caring nature shone through, always worrying about his loved ones especially his dad, and showing unwavering love for his boys and family. His big heart and empathy for others will be remembered by all who knew him.

Bret's presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends every day.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO.
