Byron A. "Skip" Eberts, Jr., 80, a proud pilot and veteran of the U.S. Navy, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at North Kansas City Hospice House. His wish was to be cremated.

Skip was born July 10, 1943, to Byron A. "Barney" and Billie Jean Eberts. He loved to fly and he loved boating. He truly enjoyed his career as a TWA pilot.

Skip is survived by his wife, Mary Eberts; sons Walker Eberts and Brent (Amy) Eberts; stepdaughter Angela Beisel; and grandsons Owen Eberts and Chase Eberts.

Services will be held on Monday, September 11, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gladstone, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass following at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his name to St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Private inurnment will be at Leavenworth, KS National Cemetery.
