Carl Calandra, 63, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2024. Services will be held on Monday, December 2, at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. followed by Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Carl was born July 19, 1961, to the late Filippo and Josephine (Maenza) Calandra in Camporeale, Sicily. His family moved to the United States in 1963 when Carl was just 2 years old. He graduated from Northeast High School and went on to have a very successful career in the trucking industry, paired with various awards and honors throughout the years.

Carl enjoyed his family, food, and the Chiefs. He was always happiest being around the ones he loved. His kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by anyone who was lucky to have known him.

Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his parents-in-law Steno and Luciana Armilio; granddaughter Luciana Marie Puckett; as well as many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Rita; daughter Gina Puckett (Aaron); grandson Giovanni; brothers Vincent (Shirley), Anthony (Annie), Frank (Lorrie); brother-in-law and sister-in-law Andrew and JoMarie Armilio; his many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Bella.

Pallbearer is John Paul Armilio. Honorary Pallbearers are Jasper Draskovich, Ross Liberto, Vince Liberto, Tommy Sciortino, Ron Chadwick, Joe Phil Mandacina, Joe Tarantino, Jimmy Scola, and Andrew Armilio.
