Carl M. "Mike" Spero, 57, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a prayer service will begin at 5 p.m.

Mike was born November 11, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. He was a lifelong humanitarian who gave selflessly to others in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J. Spero; brother, Nicholas Anthony Spero; and step-father, Alex L. Gantos.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Gantos; brothers and sisters, Joseph J. Spero, Cecilia Spero-Izzo (Jeff), Carla Spero-LaGalle (Jared), Vincent A. Spero, Stephen S. Spero (Julie); step-sister, LaDonna Lavallee; 11 beloved nieces and nephews; Uncles and Aunts, Vincent and JoAnn Spero, Sam and Mona Spero; and many cousins and friends.
