Carl A. Orlando, Jr., "Zuger", 84, passed away January 11, 2016. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 15, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
Carl was born November 23, 1931, in Kansas City, MO, to Carl and Barbara (Costanzo) Orlando, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Korea. He was a longtime restaurant chef who had the honor of serving meals to four U.S. Presidents, and later was owner of Orlando's Italian Restaurant for many years. He enjoyed people and those he made contact with at his fruit stand in the City Market, and was an avid, diehard Royals fan
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Orlando, in 2015; and his brothers, Matthew, Infant Vincent, Vincent Roy, and Anthony Orlando.
Survivors include his children, Carl and Mary Orlando, Barbara Williams and Brenda Teegarden, Salvatore and Suzi Orlando; his grandchildren whom he adored and were the loves of his life: Christina, Vincent, Philip, Sarina, Thomas, Sarah, Nick, Justin, Eric, Elizabeth, Fortunata; along with his great-grandchildren, Levi, Brittany, Antoinette, Daryll, Joseph, Nickolis, Saulyer; and his former spouse, best friend, and mother of his children, Mary Vita Orlando.
