Carmeline Cessor passed away September 2, 2017 at the NorthCare Hospice House fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and surrounded with the love of her family.

Carmeline was born March 10, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri to her loving parents Thomas and Mary Inzerillo. She was the second of three daughters in her family. She was baptized and grew up in the Holy Rosary parish in the North End of Kansas City where she also went to grade school. After graduating high school at age 16 as an accomplished student athlete, her first job was at Lowe and Campbell where she ran the double-stitch machine making sports uniforms. She met her husband Frank Cessor in 1942 and they married on October 6, 1943 and raised four children. Carmeline and Frank's 46-year marriage revolved around their Catholic faith, their family, and adoring their grandchildren.

Carmeline loved her family deeply and unconditionally. She was tireless in her prayers for her family and loved ones. One of her greatest joys in life was seeing her family come together around special occasions to share a meal, laugh, and tell stories.  Another joy she treasured was the long standing tradition she shared with her beloved sisters Mary and Angie which included Saturday evening Mass and playing cards afterwards with their close friends.

Carmeline was very proud of her career working at Diagnostic Imaging for 35 years. She always said working there kept her young; she worked full-time until the age of 81. She was especially grateful for the life-long friendships she forged there.

Carmeline was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, her sister Angie, and her granddaughter Dawn. She is survived by her four children and their spouses – Salvatore Cessor and Glenda, Santa Marie Giordano and Sam, Frank Cessor and Connie, and Michael Cessor and Linda, her eight grandchildren, her six great grandchildren, her sister Mary D'Angelo, and her co-worker and best friend who became like family to her, Misty Exelby.

Carmeline and her enduring influence and love over her family and loved ones will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, September 6 at St. Mark's Catholic Church located at 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, Missouri 64055. The rosary will be recited from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 7 at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carmeline's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
