Carol (Parrish) Rinella, 83, passed away on May 21, 2026, at Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be held on Friday, May 29, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Road, Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the family.

Carol was born on December 22, 1942, in Kansas City, MO to Elizabeth "Lee" (Vigliaturo) Parrish and William "Bill" Parrish.  She was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Catholic Church where she served in many roles including, but not limited to, youth minister, usher, and serving the parish in many volunteer positions.  After retiring from V's Ristorante' she ventured into being a volunteer at Centerpoint Medical Center to share her joyful spirit.  She enjoyed dancing, traveling and serving others with her special fun-loving personality that brightened up a room as she entered. If you knew Carol, you were blessed with so many funny stories and enormous laughter.  She loved cooking, baking and entertaining.  She was happiest when she was with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Parrish; father-in-law and mother-in-law Anthony and Angeline Rinella; brother Bill Parrish; her granddaughter Andrea Becken, brothers-in-law Anthony Rinella and Joseph Accurso; and sister-in-law Sue Rinella.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, John Rinella; her children Angela Rinella Hosack (Mike), John Anthony Rinella (Toni Marie); grandchildren Krystal Givens (James), Rashelle McCrackin (Ryan), Ashlei Rinella, Nicole Benavides (Eric), Michael Anthony Rinella, Chris Becken; great-grandchildren Sakura Becken, Leam and Hutson McCrackin, Kalli Stout, Caleb, Carter, Colin, Alana, Korbin and Kinsley Givens, Mason and Marah Stout; her siblings Bunny Fiorello (Nick), Linda Bonadonna (Fred), Rosemarie Wurtz (Joe); sisters-in-law Rose (Favoroso) Parrish, Augustine Accurso; and several nieces and nephews whom she adored.
