Carol L. (Fredrickson) Vacca, 80, passed away August 10, 2025, at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 22, at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Carol is survived by her three children: Anita Yarrington, Joseph Calzarano (wife Carolyn), and Mary Vetter (husband Duane); two stepchildren: James Vaca and wife Lori, and Anna Valdez; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Sandy Findlay (husband Jim); brother Charles Fredrickson; several nieces and nephews; and her close neighbors and long-time friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years William Vacca ; her daughter Jody Calzarano; son Christopher Vacca; parents Maurita and Donald; and sisters Pasty Minto and Barb Jennings.

Carol had a deep love for her dog Cuddles, and everything Chiefs - she would never miss a game on TV. Her cheers and groans could be heard through the house, especially when the Chiefs were trailing! She loved eating out, especially Mexican and Chinese food. She was a great cook and looked forward to Christmas and Thanksgiving and insisted on cooking big meals during the Holidays.

Carol never met a stranger and was well known at her neighborhood grocery store who treated her like family. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and Cuddles.
