Caroline Bolaji Akinmoladun (nee Fawehinmi) passed away at the age of 67 on July 4, 2023.

Caroline was born on April 7, 1956, in Ondo Town, Ondo State, Nigeria to Emmanuel Fawehinmi and Adekunmi Adesanlu.

Caroline married Olugbemiga Obafemi Akinmoladun in 1975, and later emigrated to the United States in 1978. Caroline obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant license in 1982, and then obtained her associate's degree in Mid-management Service Occupation from Longview Community College in 1983. Caroline worked for over 40 years in the healthcare industry at various nursing facilities throughout the Kansas City area, providing exceptional care to residents of all ages and backgrounds.

In addition to being a loving mother and wife, Caroline enjoyed traveling back home to Ondo Town, where she built a family home that ran successful businesses.

Caroline, the joyful mother of nine children, is preceded in death by her supportive parents, her beloved daughter Modupe Olasunmade and her cherished son Bankole Akintokunboh. She is survived by her older sister Florence Mowanuinola Adewusi, her children Olawale Oluwadare (Andrea), Durojaiye Oyebamidele (Taylor), Ayokunle Olumide (Keara), Orobola Obafemi, Oladapo Olalekan, Abayomi Temidayo, and Oluwatoyin Keji (Tamerica), and her several grandchildren.

The official funeral for Caroline will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Passantino Bros Funeral Home located at 2117 Independence Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64124. Public visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the service starting at 11:30 a.m. The escorted procession will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the interment service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery located at 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
