Caroline "Callie" Saluto, 98, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. followed by visitation from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 3, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon. Burial will follow in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Please omit flowers.

Callie was born on February 26, 1915, in Kansas City, MO, where she resided all her life. She married Tom Saluto on October 23, 1946. Although widowed just eight years later, Callie prevailed and raised her two children with love, honor and dignity. She was preceded in death by her brothers Louie, Joe and George Tutorino, and sisters Brenda Tutorino, Kathryn Presta and Sadie Tarantino.

She is survived by her children, Annette and Sal Occhipinti, Steve and Venita Saluto; loving grandchildren, Anthony and Renita, Natalie, Kathryn and Mike, Tom and Kim; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Antoinette "Tut" Migliazzo; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Callie was loved by all who knew her for her quick wit and sense of humor. She always made everyone laugh. She will live forever in our hearts.
