Carolyn Rose
Demarco
Apr 27, 1931 — Jul 17, 2024
Carolyn Rose (Giacone) DeMarco, 93, passed away July 17, 2024.
Carrie was born April 27, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Margaret (Anch) and Charles Giacone. She was a wonderful homemaker; her cooking and baking skills were unparalleled. She didn't often sit still and was always cleaning, polishing, washing and ironing even into her 90's. She loved to dance and was quite the jitterbugger in her youth. She loved to listen to music and was still singing and tapping her toes at the age of 93.
Carrie was an exceptional wife, mother, nani, sister, cousin, mother-in-law, and friend. She was the definition of selfless. To know her was to love her.
Carrie was preceded in death by her husband Frank DeMarco, Sr.; daughter Rosemary Seaton; daughter Mary Margaret Toth; her parents; and her siblings Angie Nastasio, Bennie and George Giacone. She is survived by her son Frank DeMarco, Jr. (Annette); grandsons Frank DeMarco III (Stephanie), Thomas DeMarco, and Nicholas Seaton (Kim); granddaughters Lisa Richmond (Jason aka Sam), Lindsay Boydston (Chris), and Julie Miller (John), as well as her sister Nadine Jackson; great-grandchildren Austin, Charlie, Cody, Aubrey, Franki, Julianna, Charli, Viviana, Jolie, Gabriella, Evelyn, and Tano. Carrie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to give a big thank you to the caregivers at Heritage Village and Elera Hospice. It truly takes a special person to do what each of you do and we are appreciative for each one of you.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. followed by Visitation at 9:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Frank DeMarco III, Thomas DeMarco, Nick Seaton, Jason Richmond, Austin Richmond, and Steven Lanfranca.
