Obituary

Catherine (Mangiaracina) Wigington, 75, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016. Visitation will be at 4:30 p.m. with a Memorial Mass at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. The family requests no flowers please.
Cathy was born April 11, 1941, in Kansas City, MO, to Joseph and Katie Mangiaracina. She worked for the Kansas City, MO School District in the cafeteria for 10 years. Cathy was a devoted mother, nanie, great-nanie and loyal friend. Her son and grandchildren were the light of her life.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Tony, John and Joe Mangiaracina. She is survived by her son, Lewis Wigington; her grandchildren, Megan and Ben Baczwaski, Lisa and Patrick Moss; great-grandchildren, Drew, Jillian, and Ryan; and sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Claude Allen.
The family offers deep gratitude with a special place in their hearts to Lori Wells and Micki Smith, for the love and devotion they have given to Catherine during her life to the very end.
A special thank you to NorthCare Hospice and the KU Cancer Center, especially Fanny, Kelly and Julia.
