Charles Sherman Tye's Obituary
Charles Sherman Tye, 68, Northeast Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011. A memorial visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, November 19, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m. Inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests contributions to NorthCare Hospice.
Charles was born January 20, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to Sherman and Agnes Tye. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and was a member of American Legion Post 21. He worked for Vendo for 20 years and was a dockman for UMB Bank for 18 years before he retired.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lucy Tye; nieces and nephews, Christine Tye Coleman, Douglas Tye, Diane Burke, Terry Paige, Steve Harrington; and many great-nieces and nephews.
