Cheryl Lynn McAninch, 57, died May 23, 2016. She is survived by husband, Robert McAninch; daughter, Lauren Lavar; son, Justin Long; granddaughter, Paisley Lavar; grandson, Peyton Lavar; son-in-law, Joseph Lavar; father, Sylvester Blancarte; and sister, Anita Deshon.

Cheryl had an active lifestyle and enjoyed running and bicycling. She was in the medical profession in her working years as an LPN and medical transcriptionist.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. with a service beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 31, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery in Kearney, MO, next to her mother and brother. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society; KC Free Clinic; Kansas City Hospice; and Liberty Hospice.
