Christopher John Baker was born in Springfield, MO, on March 17, 1968, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 1, 2022, after suffering for two years with heart failure.

Chris attended St. Joseph's grade school in Springfield, then attended Holy Family in Independence, MO, where he was a basketball and volleyball star.  For the first semester of his freshman year, he attended St. Mary's High School in Independence before transferring to Mater Dei in Santa Ana, CA.  After graduation he received his Associates Degree from Irvine Valley College in Santa Ana. He spent 14 years at various Ace Hardware locations, a stint at Home Depot, and as a consultant to various manufacturers and contractors on the West Coast.

His parents Joe and Glenda Baker, his siblings: Rebecca (Rylie), Theresa, Joe, Jr., Steve (JoAnn), nephews: Bill, Andrew, Colin and Jackson, and nieces: Britney, Veronica and Madison, wish to thank all those who were his friends and relatives for their prayers and kind thoughts.

Services will be held on Friday, December 9, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Independence, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
