Christopher Michael Kiefer, 64, of Northeast Kansas City, Missouri, passed away and into the arms of Jesus on September 21, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Christopher was born on September 15, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas to Carl and Angela Kiefer, and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Northeast High School, studied culinary arts at Penn Valley Community College, and became a National Registered Certified Medical Assistant through the Kansas City College of Medical and Dental. He was a machine operator at Mar-Kay Plastics, and lead tubewinder for Graham Products. He also worked for Reda's Garden Center owned by his grandfather. He had his own business 'Kiefer's Keepers' making ornate boxes out of exotic woods. He had many interests, was an avid reader, loved learning, biking, photography, collecting rocks, coins, and stamps. He deeply loved his animals, friends, and family.

Chris had a big and generous heart. He often shared his home and food with those who needed a place to stay and food to eat. He lived his life according to Matthew 25:34-40.

Chris had a great ancestry legacy. His grandfather Mike Reda Jr. immigrated from Calabria, Italy in  1921. His great-grandfather Karl Kiefer immigrated from Prussia in the 1840's and fought for the Union Army in the Civil War. Through is paternal grandmother Cressie Ferry, he traced his linage to the 1500's French Huguenots. His 9th great-grandfather William Allis arrived in America in 1630 on the third Mayflower voyage, and his 8th great-grandfather Charles Ferry arrived in 1659 on a ship called 'Love'. His 7th great-grandfather David Mossom was the pastor who officiated the marriage George and Martha Washington in 1759. His 5th great-grandfather Charles Ferry was a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War. Many ancestors were abolitionists and pastors, and all fought for the Union Army to end slavery.

Christopher was preceded in death by his wife Susan Irene Kiefer, and his parents. He is survived by his sister Rita Kiefer Medall (Burton), son Airon Williams, daughter Becky Saye, and his best friends Dayna Prather and Lisa Kuder.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, with the Visitation beginning at 12 p.m. and the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Helping Hands Food Pantry ministry run by Calvary Temple Church, 5607 St. John, Kansas City, MO 64123.
