Christopher Cole Wells, age 41, passed away on January 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength.

Chris was born on January 29, 1984, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Cole and Jeani Wells. From a young age, he was known for his big heart, competitive spirit, and deep devotion to the people he loved. He grew up playing baseball with the Wildcats Baseball Organization, where he learned teamwork, discipline, and lifelong friendships. Chris graduated from Winnetonka High School in 2002, carrying with him a strong sense of pride for his roots and community.

An outdoorsman at heart, Chris found peace in hunting and fishing and joy in nearly every sport—especially when cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Yet, of all the roles he cherished in life, none meant more to him than being a dad. Being "Daddy" was Chris's greatest joy, and his children were the center of his world.

Chris dedicated 12 years of his career to Bayer, where coworkers quickly became close friends and, ultimately, family. For Chris, friendship was forever—once you were his friend, you always were. He was known as a pillar of his community: dependable, protective, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His smile was constant, his presence reassuring, and his loyalty unwavering.

Chris is survived by his loving parents, Cole and Jeani Wells; his devoted wife, Kirsten Wells; and his cherished children, Laney, Jaxton, Paisley, and Jolie Wells. He is also survived by his siblings: Nicole and Kris Peterson, Lonnie and Katie Wells, Jim Robinett, and Dana and Wayne Jones. He was a proud and deeply involved uncle—often a second father—to his nieces and nephews: AnnaBella, Kolsen, Giavonna, Madonna, Kingston, Kristian, Kooper, Haley, Deyton, Cole, Bentlee, Remi, Tiffini, Meghann, and Brett.

Chris is further survived by his in-laws, John Lawrence Hightower and Elizabeth Perry; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his uncle and aunt, Stewart and Pam Wells; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother, Jon Robinett.

Services will be held at Northland Cathedral, 101 NW 99th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64155. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, beginning at 10:00 a.m. [ LIVE STREAM ]. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Christopher Cole Wells will be remembered as a protector, a friend, a devoted husband and father, and a man whose love ran deep and true. His impact lives on in the countless lives he touched and the family he loved so fiercely.
