Obituary

Clara Mae (Grisafe) Giangrosso peacefully left this world on May 6, 2026. Born in Kansas City to Paul and Millie (Messina) Grisafe on October 22, 1935, Clara was a proud graduate of Northeast High School.

On September 12, 1953, she married the love of her life, Joe Giangrosso. Together, they shared 58 beautiful years of marriage until Joe's passing in 2012. Clara was a dedicated professional, working for the Kansas City Mantel Company for many years until her retirement in 1997.

Clara's life was defined by her vibrant social spirit and her love for her family. She was an active member of the BBD Club, the Monday Club, the Liverpool Club, and the "Cousin Club." Whether she was spending time at the lake with her family, meticulously working through crossword puzzles, or playing cards and Bunko with her dear friends, Clara brought warmth and joy to every room.

She was preceded in death by her parents Millie and Paul Grisafe, her beloved husband Joe , and her brother Tom Grisafe.

She is survived by her children Marie McCracken (Garry) and Steve Giangrosso; six beloved grandchildren; seven precious great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Florence Grisafe of Atlanta, GA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Villages of Jackson Creek and Catholic Community Health for their kindness, support and care shown to Clara during these past few weeks.

A Message from Clara -

In honoring Clara's final request for "no speeches," the family shares this prayer she chose for those she loved:

"When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart."
