Constance Rose (Calia) Messina, age 82, of Westwood, New Jersey, passed away January 20th, 2022.

Constance was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a woman ahead of her time. She was an entrepreneur owning several wig stores in the early 70's, an author of several lottery books, and created lottery novelty items when the Lottery passed in Missouri (1984). Constance was unique, creative, crafty, and loved writing. She had a way with words and through them she was able to express herself. She was kind, generous, and hard working. Her faith and her family were everything to her. Constance was a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loyal friend to many.

Constance is survived by her brother Joseph Calia; her children Kathleen Messina, Donna Brandecker (and Mark); grandchildren Michelle Brancato (and Joseph), Alicia Sanojca, Angelo Bellofatto (and his fiancée Jessica Cano), Joseph Sgro, Anthony Mange (and Kara), Marisa Bent (and Michael), Gabrielle Calabresi (and Vincent), and Daniel Bellofatto; nine great-grandchildren Benjamin Sanojca, Francesca Sanojca, Joseph Brancato,  Antonia Brancato, Adriana Brancato, Nicolette Mange, Maddalena Mange, Anthony Vito Mange Jr., and Alessia Calabresi. She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine and Vito Calia; siblings John Calia, Phyllis Heagy (and James); and daughter Deborah Sgro.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 31 ^st at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.passantinobros.com
