Cruz R. Esteban, 92, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at her residence. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave., Kansas City, MO 64123, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Cross Parish.

Cruz was born July 15, 1921, in Tecolote, GTO, Mexico, to Francisco and Micaela (Fonseca) Rodriguez. She was a member of the former St. Francis Seraph and St. Aloysius Parishes, and currently Holy Cross Parish. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at all three parishes. Cruz was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Daniel Rodriguez and Vincente Rodriguez; sister, Carmela Hernandez-Rodriguez; and grandson, Vincent Esteban.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Ruito Esteban; her sons, Anthony R. Esteban (Maria), Jose de Jesus Esteban (Ellie), Daniel Esteban (Carmen), Carlos Esteban; her daughters, Lupe Yazell (Don), Mickey McCombs (Jack); 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
