It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Cynthia Nigro, 73, of Kansas City, Missouri. On August 5, 2024, Cynthia was taken from us unexpectedly in a tragic accident.

Cynthia was born on August 16, 1950, to Vivian and Ciro "Buddy" Paladino in Kansas City, Missouri.  She is survived by her sister Kathy Hanis and her brother Joseph Francis Paladino they grew up on 1132 Pacific in "North End."  Later in life the siblings met their additional brother Joseph Michael who is now deceased.

She met the love of her life Sylvester Joseph Nigro, and they were married for 43 years at the time of his untimely passing.  The two raised their eight beloved children: Tina, Kathy, Nick, Joey, Anthony, Lindsey, Nicole, and JoMarie. Those children went on to bring them 28 grandchildren, one great grandchild and two bonus grandchildren by marriage.  She was an inspiration to those that knew her.

Cynthia or "Noni" was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She is survived by her eight devoted children and thirty cherished grandchildren, one great grandchild, nephews, nieces, sister and brother all who were the light of her life. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs before her own and creating a warm, loving environment where all were welcome.

Cynthia's kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She had a gift for making everyone laugh, feel special, and her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and delicious food. All were welcome to join her unless they were rooting for anyone other than her Kansas City Chiefs.  She loved her Chiefs, and no one knew more about them than she did.  Her love for the Chiefs was only surpassed by her love and dedication to her Lord Jesus Christ.  She enjoyed the beach, Oceans of Fun, and the sun!  Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children and grandchildren, who will forever carry the lessons she imparted and the love she shared. Although her life was cut short, the impact she had on her family and community will endure.

A service to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held on August 16, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Passantino Bros Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64124. Burial to follow at Terrace Park Cemetery, 801 NW 108th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155.  The family invites all who knew and loved her to join in commemorating a life well-lived.
