David Michael DeMaddalena 74, passed away February 27, 2019. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with a Service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday March 5, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Inurnment will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society in honor of David.
David was born March 26, 1944, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Carl and Josephine (DeFeo) DeMaddalena. After graduating, he joined the Army in 1965. After returning from the Army he went to work for TWA until he purchased the Gate Tavern several years later. His last employment was at Price Chopper where he made many friends before coming ill. He was a beloved husband, loving father, caring brother, wonderful grandfather and a loyal friend to many. He enjoyed lunches with his Goomba's, going to the casino, cooking and being with his family.
David is survived by his wife JoAnn (DiCapo) DeMaddalena; sister and brother-in-law, Marilynn and Ted Braile; his children Michael DeMaddalena, Carl DeMaddalena, John and Tracy DeMaddalena, Tina DeMaddalena, Anna DeMaddalena and fiancé Chris Wilson and Phillip DeMaddalena; step-children, Anthony Todaro, Cathy and Chad Montgomery; and 11 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at NKC Hospital for caring for David during his time of illness.
