David Charles Gift, 56, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on November 1, 2026, following a courageous five-month battle with stage IV high-grade neuroendocrine cancer.

Born on June 12, 1970, David grew up in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He was a man with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a laugh that could light up any room. A hardworking and successful businessman, David had a natural ability to connect with people. He never knew a stranger, loved sharing stories, and had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and love for life made him truly one of a kind.

David’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a father to his beloved daughter, Avery Rose. The bond they shared was incredibly special, filled with love, laughter, adventures, and memories she will carry with her forever. Nothing meant more to David than his family and the people he loved.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Douglas Gift and Greta Gift.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Avery Rose Gift; his wife, Jolynne Brancato Gift; his stepmother, Jeanette Gift; his sister, Pamela Jaudes, and brother-in-law, Mike Jaudes; his nephews, Michael Jaudes Jr., and Harrison Jaudes; his niece, Emily Jaudes; his brother, Danny Gift; his half-brother, Chris Gift; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Rozann Brancato; and many cherished family members and friends.

David lived life with passion, determination, and a generous spirit. He leaves behind countless stories, treasured memories, and a lifetime of love. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, those who knew him will forever remember his smile, his laughter, and the way he made life a little brighter.

David was deeply loved, will be dearly missed, and will never be forgotten.

Services will be held at the Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road, Kirkwood, Missouri 63122. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6th. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th. He will be laid to rest at St. John Churchyard in Affton, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions preferred to the David Charles Gift Go Fund Me Account to provide support for his family, especially his beloved daughter, Avery, as they navigate life without him. An education fund has also been established for Avery in loving memory of her dad. We are so grateful for the love and support.
