David M. Gilliland, 62, Gladstone, MO, passed away August 9, 2015. Memorial visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Saturday, August 15, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124.

David was born August 12, 1952. He was preceded in death by his father, Esokane Nakashima; and granddaughters, Stephanie Phillips and Arabella Gilliland. Survivors include his wife, Deborah L. Gilliland; his mother, Rosalie Nakashima; his children, Erika Phillips-Harris of Aurora, CO, Andrea Sprague of Bolivar, MO, Ashleigh Gilliland of Dallas, TX, David Gilliland Jr. and Cassie Gilliland, both of Kansas City; step-children, Adrian, Michael, and Tiffany; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Mark and Carl Nakashima.
