David Remsen Maylone, 78, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

David was born on April 11, 1944, in Montclair, New Jersey.  He was born to his mother Mildred Maylone and his father Paul C. Maylone.  David is survived by his wife Mary Frances Maylone; daughters Kristina Pare` (Nathan Pare`), Laurie Pisciotta (Frank Pisciotta); grandchildren Madeleine Pare`, Austin Pare`, Brayden Ricketts, Aubrie Pisciotta; sister Lynne Fender; and brother Clarke Maylone (Joni Maylone); sisters-in-law Carol Hoffman, Barbara Jean Verdone Johnson (Craig Johnson); along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mildred Maylone, Carl and Barbara Verdone, and brother in-law Bill Fender.

David was born in the spring and left this world in the fall.  These are two seasons whose beauty he deeply appreciated.

After discharging from the Army, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri to complete his bachelor's degree and then met the love of his life, Mary Frances Maylone.  Throughout the 50 years of marriage, he was dedicated to his family, friends, his volunteer work, his involvement at his church and his career with Missouri Gas Energy of 38 years.  He touched many hearts throughout his career with his genuine interest in others.  His family remembers him sharing many stories of meaningful encounters, as he took the time to get to know others when he entered their homes on his route.

Friends, family, and acquaintances described David as extremely kind, compassionate, always willing to help others, and one who saw the good in everyone, and he sure knew how to have a great time.  He was loyal to his family, friends, and most of his faith in Christ.  He saw the light in others and shared his light with everyone he met.  He had an energy like no other and didn't like anything to get him down.  He consistently donated and volunteered at his church and the City Union Mission as well as donated to various charities.

Visitation will begin with a prayer at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Mausoleum.
