Obituary

Deborah Ruth "Debbie" Morreale, 77, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 17,2026. A celebration of her life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, at the American Sons of Columbus, 2415 Independence Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64124.

Debbie was born on December 28, 1948, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, to Ruth and Delbert Williams. She married her high school sweetheart, Phillip "Phil" Morreale, on August 16, 1968. Debbie and Phil shared many years of hard work and entrepreneurship, owning and operating both M&M Produce & Deli and Sport Nutz. Debbie also spent many years babysitting and caring for children, a role she embraced and through which she touched the lives of many families.

She loved to travel and the excitement of the casinos, making memories along the way with the people she loved. She always tried to extend her trips beyond the return date. Debbie loved her Kansas City sports teams, especially the Chiefs.

Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Delbert Williams; her in-laws Jessie and Lee Morreale; her sister Gina Cammack; and her daughter-in-law Maria Morreale.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Phil Morreale; her siblings Nana Garcia and DelRey Williams; her children Louis Morreale, Lisa Arnall (Scott), and Leslie Morreale; her grandchildren Sierra Sunderland (Kenneth), Britney Thompson (Tyler), and Liberty Morreale-Arnall; and her great-grandchildren Kaylee Thompson and Gemma Sunderland. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
